Words to be used in writing – gorilla, yellow, running, bricks, pretty
Yesterday, I went on a school trip to the zoo. They had the famous and rare yellow gorilla there, which was cool. Apparently, this morning it has escaped and I heard that it is still on the run. It escaped by running at full speed into the zoo wall, which is made of bricks. On the way, it smashed everything, even the pretty zoo keeper. Poor lady. The enclosure was smashed to oblivion. The public is shocked. When the gorilla gets caught, maybe they can throw it in the monkey cage? It might make friends with the monkeys, so that’s good.

Michelle, what a great read. You have used fantastic vocabulary; I especially liked “oblivion”. Your writing had a nice fast pace, helped by your verb choices. Make sure to keep your verb tense the same throughout as you jump from past to present.
