I looked outside the boat’s window at the glaciers in Antarctica with big spotlights keeping the ice lit up. What I didn’t know was that the heat from the spotlight was slowly melting the ice. All of a sudden there was a loud BANG as a chunk of ice crashed down into the ocean. I looked back and all I could see was a HUGE wave coming at the boat. We went faster and the wave crashed back down before it reached us. “What did I tell you about the lights?” the Captain asked. “I didn’t know they were that hot,” I replied.

Hello Tyler, I found your use of the prompt not only well written but presenting an interesting notion. There are everyday things we do we might not realise effects the environment. Well done! – Ross Mannell (Team 100WC)
