Prompt: …but it was heavier than I expected…
When I was a big kid, I went to the Apple Store to buy a MacBook Pro 20. When I arrived, I asked about its features. I was amazed and wanted to buy it. Soon an employee got me one from the back. He put it on the table and scanned it…Beep… The employee said, “That will be $2199.99. Cash or card?” I said, “Cash please.”
After I paid, I was excited to take it home, but it was heavier than I expected and I dropped it and it smashed on the concrete floor. “Why?” I screamed, The Apple Care starts tomorrow”.

Hello Toby. Oh no! I would be devastated if I dropped my computer like that. I did do it to an iPad once and that was bad enough. I really like you have shown how the Apple store worked. Well done.

Oh no Michelle. I feel your pain! Your expectations and excitement levels were so high and impressively, you even sensibly explored the MacBook’s features, only to see it crashing at your feet. I think you’ll have to arrange insurance from the time you first pay for the device do you think?
(Have you ever picked up a MacBook pro? They’re actually very light ; )

Eeek! I’m sorry Toby, I called you Michelle who I suspect is your teacher. My apologies.

Hi there, Toby! This story reminds me of when I got my brand new Apple iphone, and my daughter asked to borrow it to take a video with her best friend. I had literally had my new phone in my hands for less than 30 minutes. Being a good mom, I handed it over. Let me clarify and say my daughter wanted to take pictures outside because it had snowed. So, five minutes later she rushes through the door and announces, “Mom, I shattered your phone screen. I’m so sorry!” She’d slipped on the ice, and my cell phone was ruined. That was the last time I didn’t buy Apple Care! 🙂 Thanks for helping me relive that unfortunate event. I hope yours was fictional! If your class is interested in connected, we’re a 7th/8th grade class in Virginia/USA. Tell your teacher we’d love to meet over Google Meet. 🙂
Keep on blogging,
