Learning How to Swim, by Angus, Year 6

My name is Angus and I am a polar bear who can’t swim. If a polar bear can’t swim it is really difficult to catch seals.

One day the ice cracked and I was separated from my family. I felt like a disappointment for not being able to swim.

I had to conquer my fear. So I hopped into the water. I began to move my arms and then I started to dog paddle back to my family. They were about three kilometres away.

I got back home and everyone was so proud of me. My brother even taught me how to swim.
