No……. My phone, my phone, it’s dead. It’s exhausted and five seconds ago, it was on 100% charge. So, is my laptop. I went into Mum’s room and asked if I could use her phone, but she said no. I needed a device but they were exhausted. Why didn’t I charge them? Mum said I needed to take a big breath and a walk while the phone charged. I stormed outside and walked around the block. I felt better than I did before so I sprinted home and although my phone was charged I realised life was better without technological screens.

Well done, Michelle. I loved reading your entry this week. You did such a nice job naturally incorporating the prompt that I missed it the first time! I am happy that your character was able to break out of the cycle of feeling like she needed to have a device at all times. Sometimes a little fresh air is all we need for a bit of perspective. You nicely captured your character’s range of emotions. Keep up the good work!

I really like reading your piece. It reflects a lot of situations all over the world. I have been in this situation myself and also learnt the anger and disappointment will not help. I really like the way we can feel the emotion of the character in the reading. A lesson to be learnt by many!
