I walked with my violin around the house thinking of what to do. I was a bit hungry so I looked around to see what I could eat, but there was nothing left except for a green, prickly and bruised piece of fruit, at least I think it was. So I thought to myself, should I eat now or wait for dinner? I asked Mum and Dad what it was, but they didn’t know. I didn’t really want to eat it, but I was so hungry. It was delicious! Then my sister came home and got really mad at me because it was for her school project.

That was quite a hilarious story, because you kept the punch line right until the end – well done! I also like the way that you have used a good range of sentence lengths and types because this helps to make your piece so much more interesting to read.
