A Nazi soldier was peering over the cupboard I was hiding in. Luckily, the soldier hadn’t opened the cupboard door. I closed my eyes and squeezed my knuckles into my other hand. As I turned my head, the world spun. I heard a rattle as a hand suddenly appeared through the cupboard door. On his arm was a blue armband with a Star of David. The man pushed me out of the way and tucked himself up in the cupboard. I heard another noise, but it was not bare feet, but heavy boots. They would find me.
