We sat there cuddled up, with thin towels around our shoulders. People stared at us. All they thought was, “Homeless people have crowded our streets”. We all had straggly beards and hair. Some asked for money. Some had given up on trying. We sat there, through day and night, hot and cold. Then a man came, wearing a suit and tie, with a microphone held under his chin. As he spoke, I realised we seemed to be on the television. Would it make any difference? It’s not the first time it has happened and I was sure it wasn’t the last.

Hi Ella, I like your detail and depth to your story. Your story reminds me of homeless people in Chicago. One thing to work on next time is maybe give a little more info about your story.
