Neil Armstrong sat on a hill. He dreamed about walking on the moon. He cupped his hands and put them around the crescent moon.
1959
Neil was walking through NASA’s Apollo 11 building centre. The other astronauts, Buzz Alrin and Michael Collins, and Neil stared up at the rocket that was going to take them to the moon. ‘I have to pilot a toaster’, Michael muttered to himself. Neil and Buzz stared at him nervously.
5…4…3…2…1…Zero. Blast off! Neil, Buzz and Michael’s faces were being pulled back until their teeth were showing. They looked back at Earth, getting tinier and tinier.
